Hi, I have a cafe business and I have dedicate home office to do all the administration for the cafe business. Can I charge to the business and claim occupancy expenses such as strata, interest & council by proportion home office area/total area.

No because you are not running the business directly from your home.

 

You can claim Home office costs of 52 cents per hour but need to keep a record for 4 weeks to calc weekly average to determine yearly amount.
