How do you work out GCT on Cryptocurrency?

 

Say you invest $750 into Crypto and it doubles over twelve months how would the GCT be calculated if you were to sell? Also, what would happen if you invest $750 into Crypto and it has a loss. What would happen then? If you choose to sell?
