Worried you’re missing part of your refund? Remember, the low and middle income tax offset isn’t a refund on its own – it’s used to offset (or reduce) the amount of tax you pay. The offset amount you may be entitled to is automatically applied and could range between $255-$1080, depending on things like your taxable income and how much tax you’ve paid.

Good Day,

I am Australian citizen who lives permanently in Switzerland.
Next year I will reach age 60 and I think to withdraw (lump sum payment) my superannuation.
I contacted Mercer, where I have superannuation, and they told me that I need to open bank account in any Australian bank.
Do you know how to open bank account from abroad?
I am living in Switzerland and I don't have plans to travel to Australia.

Thank you for your help.

Marek

Unfortunately we can only answer any tax or superannuation related questions you might have.
