HI,

I current work for a company that has sent me to Canberra from Sydney many times for 3 or 4 days overnight for many years.

They have since taken the company Credit card from me and all staff.

I must get some kind of pre paid allowance for my accom and meals etc.?

Can anybody send me some information on the law for this please.

Thanks in advance Lenny

They are not required by law to pay for any of those expenses.

If you do work away for work then keep all of the receipts for everything; accommodation, travel, meals etc and then claim them at tax time.

HI,

How can't that be right ?

How could a apprentice afford to pay $200 Dollars a night Accom and all meals for 2 weeks.

Employees shouldnt be bank rolling a major company i wouldnt think

It's their company and they can and will do what they want.

It's your choice to work there.
