Centrelink Debt

I have a Centrelink debt which I challenged and it is now in review which means it’s on hold for up to 6 months.
Does this still mean that if I lodge my tax return Centrelink will still take it? Even though the debt is on hold?

Hi @ClaireMcC21 

This is probably a question for Centrelink - my feeling is that a lot of the system is automated (with manual override) and so because you may appear to have a debt the system would operate in the same way as if you did have a debt. But I could be wrong.
