We run a small business from home with the downstairs area holding stock and an office etc. When buying a commercial property with your Super, can it be a house with an office and storage so that it can be rented back to your business?

Technically, yes  -  as long at no-one is actually living there, and it meets the definition of business real property.

A SMSF can never acquire residential property from a member or associate.
