My elderly sister needs to lodge her tax returns for about the last 10 years.

Should she start lodging the most recent years as they can be completed online and all information is readily available?

Or should she try to gather enough detail to start from the beginning?

I believe she wont owe tax but be entitled to a refund

That is a long time! If you are doing it yourself do what you can when you can. If you do them out of order it could impact processing and cause delays in refunds if they are all lodged simultaneously but at this point I would think that wouldn’t matter too much to you.
A tax agent could always help you lodge if you get stuck.
