Noise cancelling headphones in open plan office

My workplace recently removed all offices for Directors. I now sit in an open plan space surrounded by my team. I'm considering purchasing a set of noise cancelling headphones to enable me to do my work for periods when I need to not be disturbed (and provide a signal to my team that the 'door is closed').  They would be paid for out of my pocket and only used in the office (100% of use). My workplace doesn't provide this equipment. Is this a valid deduction?

Hiya @AmeliaC365,

One of the conditions of a work-related deduction is that it must be directly related to earning your income. Deductions are self assessed, I will provide a link below which outlines the criteria for a deduction for work-related expenses.
