Worried you’re missing part of your refund? Remember, the low and middle income tax offset isn’t a refund on its own – it’s used to offset (or reduce) the amount of tax you pay. The offset amount you may be entitled to is automatically applied and could range between $255-$1080, depending on things like your taxable income and how much tax you’ve paid.

Hi @leoyap,

Thanks for your question! In order to follow up on the progress of your return, we'd need to ask you personal questions to verify your identity and access your account. We advise against providing these kinds of details in a public forum, so we can't provide an update on the progress of your return here.

We aim to process income tax returns lodged online within 30 days, and we should send you notification (via post, SMS or your myGov inbox) if your return will take longer than this. There are a number of reasons why your return may be delayed, and we'll get in touch if we need any additional information to finalise your return.

You can phone us on 13 28 61 between 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday to ask us to investigate further.

Thanks, @AmandaE
