What is ATO Community?
ATO Community is an online peer to peer platform that allows members of the community to ask and share information about tax and super issues with other community members. Using community driven conversations, users can find answers to their own tax and super questions. This information creates a knowledge bank for the community to use in the future to help find answers.
Through a team of moderators the ATO provides a safe, moderated platform for users to anonymously interact with each other. We will also step in to help if there is a question that the community doesn't answer and we will ATO certify answers we are confident are correct to help provide certainty.
ATO Community is completely anonymous and confidential. Your records will never be used to identify you in any way.
How does it work?
Registered members can log in to ATO Community to post anonymous questions about their tax and super issues. Other registered members who are part of our community of experts will join in the conversation by providing a response.
In some cases, particularly when a question is complex, the community may not respond. In these circumstances, our team of moderators will seek expert advice within the ATO to help provide a response.
However, it is all about community conversations. The community will drive the topics we talk about.
We have community guidelines that inform users about our expectations and rules of engagement with ATO Community.
