Hi,
I have a question about my eligibility for a Departing Australia Superannuation Payment (DASP).
I currently hold a Student Visa. My Student Visa will expire, and I will leave Australia on the same day.
After leaving Australia and once my Student Visa has expired, I will not hold any active Australian visa. At that point, I intend to submit my DASP application, as I understand I will meet the eligibility requirements.
However, while the DASP application is still being processed, I plan to apply for an eVisitor (subclass 651) to return to Australia for a two-week holiday only. I will not work or study during that visit.
If I lodge my DASP application while I do not hold any active Australian visa, will my application remain valid if I am granted an eVisitor (subclass 651) while the DASP is being processed? Or would the new visa make me ineligible before the payment is made?
I have read that I must not hold an active Australian visa at the time I submit the application, but I cannot find any information about what happens if a new visitor tourist visa is granted after the application has already been lodged.
Thank you for your help.
