Hi @MissLizzy,
If myGov freezes or doesn't move past the Sign in button, the issue is likely with the myGov website rather than ATO online services.
In this situation, you'll need to contact the myGov helpdesk for assistance with accessing the sign-in page.
If you're having trouble signing in to your account, the myGov website also has help for:
- forgotten usernames or passwords
- lost access to your email address
- missing sign-in codes
- passkey issues.
If you can get to the sign-in page but can't access your account, you may be able to recover it using myID. To do this, you'll need myID set up with a Strong identity strength.
Once your myID is set up, select Continue with Digital ID from the myGov sign-in page and follow the prompts.
I am having the same problem. Cannot sign in MyGov. I am not an Australian, can I apply for MyID? How to file the ATO tax for my property in Melbourne when I cannot logon to ATO via MyGov. I tried calling Mygov office but was put on recorded messages for very long. Can someone from ATO please inform MyGov office that there is a problem with their website. Thank you.
