Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this - my HECS/HELP debt is showing on MyGov as around 16,000 dollars, however has a note saying "The account has pending transactions that may affect the final balance."

When completing my tax with a tax agent, he had my recorded amount of HECS/HELP owing at 13,000 dollars ish.

I was just wondering what could have caused the discrepancy and how to get my MyGov statement up to date regarding my HECS/HELP debt?

Thanks

Maybe your tax agent is telling you what your balance will be after this years tax return you've just done is added to your account.

Remember the HECS / HELP repayments your employer takes out throughout the year aren't applied to reduce your account balance until you do your tax return.
