I work for dominos as a delivery driver and occasionally I will have to use my personal car and we are paid 41c/km to cover fuel and maintenance etc. my question is can I still claim the 66c/km deduction even though dominos have reimbursed via the 41c/km. the reimbursement for personal cars appears on my end of year summary as "untaxed payments" so I'm not sure if that's makes any difference either. I don't have a logbook however the kilometres I have traveled are gps tracked so I know exactly how many I have travelled for work purposes.

Hi @Jck098

Yes you can use the cents per km method to claim the costs of using your personal car.

You need to have adequate records to justify the expense if requested.

A useful tool to use in future is our MyDeductions tool.

The rate for the 202-21FY is 72c cpkm.

Further information can be found on our website for Work-related car expenses calculator.

You'll find a link there for the MyDeductions app also.
