my refund was sposed to be issued yesterday ... but where all previous tax return status's have always said refund payment method EFT .... is now says nothing .... I haven't updated bank details or anything ... it's always gone into the same bank for years ... wondering why this is ???

Sorry about the confusion this has caused.
Weve become aware some peoples refunds havent been received, despite their Notice of Assessment having issued. The good news is that weve already taken steps to ensure this is fixed and your refunds should be issued by Friday 23 July.
You don't need to do anything more to get this fixed, it will happen automatically.
I had same problem I called and made a dispute with the ATO yesterday and Jodie from the complaint section called me and said they have many system issuesd to many people have lodged the returns so everyone who was due to get their money back on 16/07 has to wait for another two weeks or possibly middle of August . They said a lot of Australians have been effected. Theyt sent several people false message on Tuesday that the payments would land in 3 days and people havent got anything either not to mention the EFT factionality has dissapeard. One person menioned on Facebook they took his credot amount after notice of assement was given and reduced by $2000. Very bad experiance com[ared to previous years.
Ohhhh man , that really sucks and fairly poor on Their end , I know they are busy but this has never happened in all my years of tax returns , my mrs got hers a day before I was "apparently getting mine back " and she lodged 4 days after me .... they reduced my tax refund by 1000$ compared to what my original amount was sposed to be also , don't know what the deal is this year .... but thanks heaps for the reply mate
Yeah mate both my Wife and I submitted ours same time I have read many others complain some poor guys facing eviction and he lodged claim for immidiate assement due to his stituation very slow this year every other year has been great
last year took 5 days .... sucks for the people that really need it mate forsure !! I'll phone in on Monday to see if I get the same response mate , cheers for the reply I appreciate it
