I have some money I want to use to pay off some of my HECS debt. I'm unsure whether I pay upfront a portion of this year's fee or whether I go through the ATO and MyGov to do it. It's a voluntary payment. I think if I do it before the uni census date, i may get a discount so I need to do this in a day or two if going through uni. I'm just confused as to where to pay. Thanks.
Hi @pbosnich,
The easiest way to make a voluntary HELP repayment is via myGov.
However, if you would like to receive the 10% discount, you will need to make the payment directly to your University or higher education provider.
Please contact your student administration to confirm your eligibility prior to making a payment.
