Hello

My question regarding which ANZSIC code to be use for my business?

I am driving taxi full time as sole trader now my question is that I rent a taxi on weekly basis , I pay a fixed rent or set price to the owner of the taxi every week so I pay the weekly rent plus my own fuel so now which ANZSIC class best describe my situation

would it be

5299 other transport support services

or

thanks waiting anxiously for your reply

Hi @Aliankhan

If you're provided taxi driving services, rather than renting out the taxi itself, your code will be 52991 - taxi driver. The description for 52991 is "mainly engaged in driving taxis on behalf of owners," which is exactly you. You've done the right thing - don't overthink it! :)

Hi @Aliankhan,

Good question! Both codes you have provided do relate back to taxi services. To find which codes suits you best, use the business industry code (BIC) tool to help you choose the right one for you. ANZSIC codes are very broad and one code covers a number of industries,so you can use the one that is closest matching your job/title.

You can find the BIC tool along with a code list on our website.

Hope this helps!
