Hey I was just wanting to know when making money from Onlyfans do I have to make an ABN and do PAYG installments and claim this seperatly to my everyday job? Or do I report this at tax time as other income or foreign income? And then pay tax on it then?

It is all very confusing and scary as there is no step by step of what to do.

Hi @Wowzers,

OnlyFans would be considered a business income and you may need to apply for an ABN.

You will need to pay tax for the income you earn from OnlyFans, which can be done by PAYG instalments. By making regular PAYG instalments, you won't have to pay a large tax bill when you lodge your tax return.

Here is a page with information that may help you understand how to start a business and what is involved.

Visit our website for more information about PAYG instalments and apply for an ABN.
