Please help, I filed my tax 4 weeks ago.

The PAYG I was sent by workcover qld showed amounts which were incorrect in the lump sum e section.

So when I filed in my return, I placed the correct amounts in the three years which arrears payments had been made.

I also amended the previous years tax as I realised workcover qld had done the same for that PAYG.

I am now concerned that this may not have been the right way to go about it because for weeks now the outcome on my account says information pending.

Is there any advice you can give me as to how I can provide evidence to the ATO to support my adjustments, and or is there any insight you can give me which would help me to understand what information pending would mean interms of my situation.

Thank you in advance

Hi @CDW,

If you've entered information differently to what's been reported on the PAYG, then it may result in a mis-match when we run our checks. So this might be why your tax return has been delayed.

Information pending means we're looking at the details to try and complete the processing. If we need any more details we'll reach out to you, so for now you don't need to send us anything or contact us.

For now, you should contact workcover QLD and discuss the mistake directly with them. If they agree a mistake's been made, they'd need to issue a new (corrected) PAYG. This way the information between your tax return and what they've officially reported all matches up (and should help us finalise things on our end) :)
