Hello

I hope this finds you well.

I am paying a family who appeared in a video campaign. There are two adults and two children, both under 18.

Performing artists/actors are taxed at a 20% flat rate and superannuation is paid as normal.

Could you please confirm:

a) Can one of the adults provide their tax file number and superannuatuion details and be paid on behalf of the family?

b) Can one of the children be paid on behalf of the family?

I also have a couple where one party is invoicing on behalf of both people.

Many thanks

Lisa

Hi @LMC67,

Video campaign sounds like fun.

Each of the actors will need to be paid separately for the work they've done. If required superannuation will also need to be paid separately.

Our website explains how to pay actors, you might want to check it out.

The Fair Work Ombudsman website has information about paying wages.

Take care and stay safe.
