I finished up with my Employer and I was owed several payments like Annual Leave, increase of rate and travel alloweance etc. When the owner of the business sent through my payslip he has made the payment as Overtime 1.5 (exempt from Super) 1 hr @ $1056 which resulted in me being taxed 50% or so? What can I do about this situation? This matter has been to FWO however they have referred me to the ATO as according to them the missing payments have now been made (even though NOT at the correct rate).

If you mean the withholding tax applied was incorrect - I would not worry - It'll all be trued-up when you do your tax return.

Hi @Angusrat35,

If you've been overtaxed on any payments made to you, as @TaxedoMask mentioned, this should all be balanced out when you submit your tax return for the year. This will calculate any overpayment of tax, and you should receive a refund of these amounts.

Hope this helps, let us know if you have any further questions.
