I foolishly signed up for MyGovID to help with dealing with RevenueSA and get a unique student identifier.

When I signed up it read my first and middle names as my first name which has now infected my main MyGov account causing issues linking other services.

I have been bounced from Mygov to MyGovID and back for a couple of months now both saying it's the other's job to fix it.

The only thing they both seem to agree on is that MyGovID is broken and that I will have to delete my MyGov account and start again. But how can I be sure MyGovID will not simply infect MyGov again.

How can I completely and utterly erase from all existence my MyGovID account?

Were sorry to hear youve experienced issues with myGovID.


Updates were made to myGov over the weekend which should have resolved this issue - so I'd encourage you to give it another whirl.


If not and you still wish to permanently delete your myGovID, you need to contact our myGovID support line. We have a dedicated team who'll take care of it.
