Hi,

I lodged my return on 1/7/21 and realised i'd input the same deduction twice. I then amended the return to only include the one deduction. Both returns are showing as status "In Progress" and "Balancing account".

The original return shows a processed date of 7/7/21 with an effective date of 14/7/21 with the amount in CR i am to receiveAbove that the amended return shows processed date of 8/7/21 with an effective date of 21/11/21 with a Debit amount but still showing my balance as a positive CR.

Is this suggesting that i'll be receiving the incorrect amount on the 14/7/21 then will have to pay a bill for the amended return on 21/11/21 or is it suggesting that I will now not be receiving my return until 21/11/21?Regards,Lewis

The accounts will do some unusual things when processing a return and then adjusting it with an amendment. Wait until it has finalised processing. In my experience it generally sorts itself out. They probably shouldn't show us so much detail, it makes it confusing.
