Hello I am very frustrated with the ATO. I have logged on to the ATO protal as I was told I would get my refund by today. My effective date showed 22/07/2021 on Tuesday I also had sms on Tuesday saying I would get payments I have been waiting since 01/07. Tonight I log on and I see User requested amendment and processing date 24 Nov. This is incorrect I did not ammend my request. My girl friend and a few others we know are having same problem we did not amend the return. You need to get these problems fixed I can see many people are in same postion and are companing on Facebook.

ATO needs to get the system fixed up last week you had major issue and appogised for it but it seems the issue is not fixed. I spoke to your worker today who said its fraud issue and this was wrong . Its not a fraud issue if someone tries to log onto my account they need to put the pin sent to my mobile . She wasted my time and was very rude. Others having same issues all over facebook. I spoke to Daily mail who have asked me to keep them in the loop. You have one option and thats to refund everyones money otherwise youll be on the NEWS

@EmilyATO Myself and my girlfriend both submited our retun on 1st of July, You had told us we would get our refunds on 16 July then you had a system issue which you have addmited to on here. You gave us our notice of assesment on the 16th and sent us both an SMS.

I looked and can see others who lodged on 1st July having same problem. It now says user requested amendment on 22 July on the 19th of July it said effective date 22 July now it says 24 Nov .

We did not make changes or press amend . Yiu can stop saying we did it or its a hack and someone is targetting us this is fale. Your people over the phone kept blaming hacks and other BS . You have a system issue take some ownership and fix it

I just spoke to my contact at Daily mail and have sent them all the proof of issues you have admited to on here as well as my own records .

Your situation does sound a bit frustrating - so we'll see if we can sort out what's going on.

Can you please confirm for me what date you lodged your return? What is the status of your return when you log in to myTax?

I also lodged on the 5th of July 2021 . my ato portal has been balancing account ever since , also was told that it May be suspected fraudulent activity lol what a joke . I've rang over 10 times to tell them it is me and I need my return ASAP . Been escalated over 6 times also been set as "PRIORITY PROCESSING" . It is now the 25th and still says balancing account. And I was promised on 23rd July 2021 that my funds have been released. Don't no how when I haven't even got a notice of assessment. My original effective date states 14th July
