Hi @Beth16,

Salary sacrifice arrangements are a good alternative to the standard payment form of salary or wages, and mean that you are only taxed on the reduced salary/ wages that you receive. Additionally, there is no restriction on the type of benefit that can be included as part of a salary sacrifice arrangement. However, it is very important that the arrangement is in place before you commence work though, as otherwise the benefits may be taxed as part of your assessable income.

Although we provide information regarding salary sacrificing and FBT, unfortunately we aren't in a position to provide specific financial advice or recommendations.

For the nature of this enquiry it may be beneficial to contact a registered tax agent or accountant for tailored income tax advice regarding options available to you to maximise your earnings through your employment arrangement.

For more detailed information that we have available, please check out the following pages: Salary sacrifice arrangements Requirements for an effective salary sacrifice arrangement Tax treatment of benefits

Kind regards,

RachATO
