If you're in Australia for an extended period your tax residency could be affected. Employers who have Australian resident employees are obligated to pay tax in Australia and Super. There is also the risk that your employer maybe deemed to have a permanent establishment here in Australia which would mean they'll have tax obligations here as a business.
