Hi There, I'm creating a Youtube Channel with the intention to generate revenue and to be my secondary source of income. I'm buying a computer, camera, lights, softwares and etc. Can I claim these assets as expenses at the end of the financial year even if my Youtube Channel is still not making money yet? (Youtube will only allow a channel to be monetized if you achieve 1,000 subscribers and Your videos have generated 4,000 Watch Time hours over the last 12 months). If I'm still working to achieving these targets with my videos and I have not received any revenue from my channel at the end of the FY, can I still claim the expenses invested on the channel on my Tax Return? (I do have an ABN already that will be used for this channel). Thank you.
