Hi, is a director considered an employee? I receive a salary which is paid weekly. I also have set hours & days that I work.
HI @S21,
Whether a director is considered an employee depends on the arrangement and how they're paid by the company. Based on what you've provided the director would be most likely considered an employee. This is due to receiving a salary paid weekly with set days and hours of work.

Thank you very much 😊
Further to this question, if a director of a not for profit entity is working in the organisation and receiving compensation for that work and their time spent, as opposed to just straight director fees, would they be considered an employee? Further, does their entitlement to receive compulsory superannuation change dependent upon their classification as either an employee or a director?
From what you've said, it sounds like they'd be considered an employee.
As for your question about Superannuation entitlement, yes, even a Director is entitled to Super. You can check out eligibility criteria on our website.
