Hi @hayahh1,

We're sorry to hear you're awaiting an outcome. Under Outstanding activity statements and BAS refunds, it provides guidance on what to expect if there's a delay.

We aren't able to access your accounts through our forum. They should be in contact with you soon, or you may find your refunds automatically issue.

Heya @hayahh1,

Can you confirm if you've just lodged one BAS or multiple BAS's at once?

We do aim to issue refunds within the 12-business days, however in some cases it can take longer, and if multiple BAS's are lodged together at the same time, they all need to finalise before a refund can be sent.

Once we make the payment, a separate EFT transaction with an effective date will show on the account, and then it will depend on you bank's processing time for when the funds will come through.

You can check out BAS refund information via this link.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have lodged three activity statements on the 10 of March and they show up as finalised and I was advised that I’ll get paid within 12 business days. I called to follow up after two weeks they said it’s been escalated and you should get your refund soon , after 2 more weeks which was on on the 5th of April I got 3 separate letters but they contain the same info that my refund has been retained and they can give me my refund if I give my bank details which I already done ages ago and to lodge my outstanding activity statements from 2016. I called up on the 6th of April asking them to upload the BAS on my gov so I can lodge them they said sorry we are unable to release them because different department will call you. My question is why is taking so long although online information on ATO website says that if they do not ask for documents in 30 days they will pay the refund and conduct information later! @RachATO
