I own an investment unit. The Owners Corporation intends to raise a special levy of $2m for repairs of water entry, rendering and painting and other remedial works. The option is to raise a one off special levy from 64 owners and or a loan. My portion will be about $25k.

For special levies under a strata management, the expense is not immediately deductible. However, you may be able to depreciate the expense once the work is completed.
