I am an Australian permanent resident and my spouse is on a Partner visa (SC 820)- Provisional Resident.

Before we purchase a residential property - an established dwelling (our first home) as Joint tenants, does she need an FIRB approval ? Please assist.

You'll be glad to know, when an individual's partner is an Australian resident or a NZ citizen, they're exempt from having to apply through FIRB. We've answered a similar post on our forum, you can view our response here.
