This outcome would be related to your residency status listed in the tax return. Working holiday makers are not residents for tax purposes unless they are a Australian Resident WHM from NDA country.


If you are not an Australian resident WHM from an NDA country you will be taxed as a foreign resident. This will apply to all the income you have earned while holding the WHM visa.
