The entity owns both residential and commercial properties which GST will be reported for the commercial properties. My question is - are all GST credits in respect of operating costs (in managing both investments) eligible to be claimed (eg: accounting fees)?

Hi @melodybecks,

No, you can't claim any of the GST credits that relate to the expenses of managing residential properties. This is because GST doesn't apply to residential rent and you're not liable to pay GST on that rent.

There's information on our website about how GST applies to residential rent.
