I receive commissions based on sales, and what i have recently discovered is that my employer has been deduction the superannuation component from the commission payment....as they prefer this...Can i please get some advice as to whether this is correct. As i am not part of any award (sales role) i would like confirmation as how this should be paid. Commission + Superannuation or Commission including super..Thanks for your help

Hi @Trevorc,

Super guarantee is paid on ordinary time earnings, (OTE). Commissions are part of your OTE and your employer should be paying you super on the commissions you receive.

Commission plus super.

Have a look at our website where it lists super on commission.
