Hi,

I am a bit confused by the general exclusion of landscaping for rental properties. Is it a blanket statement?

I have a situation where the path between the car port and the house door consists of timber sleepers (steps) which deteriorated with the extreme wet weather in last year. Couple of qualified carpenters and builders feedback is that there is no direct fix, swap or repair and the steps need structural landscaping and new steps installed.

Is this still considered an improvement? the aim is to fix the only available path to the car port and eliminate a trip hazard.

regards,

AJ
