I started a business (pty ltd) and I want to use some of my personal money to loan money to the company. I dont want to charge interest rates, nor have a repayment calendar. when the business is healthy and making money, I will eventually repay.

Is this still considered a loan, or is there a more appropriate term?

What steps do I need to take to make sure this "loan" is properly done and registered?

Hi @Leonor

Great question. If you're expecting to be repaid then you should have the loan documented outlining terms and conditions. Check out the thread Directors loan to a company and our response. There's some great info there that should help you out.
