When we process tax returns usually our system will automatically go through the whole process. However, depending on your circumstances we may need to manually check some things. This is when you receive a notification that manual processing is required. Unfortunately, it may take a little longer to finalise everything due to the manual processing required. Without seeing your account directly (We can't do that here) we won't be able to say why this is required. Our tax return status page has a section on return delays that could explain the delay. You can continue to monitor the status online and hopefully it won't be too much longer!
