I made a payment plan repayment 6 days ago, and it’s not yet showing as paid in my ATO account. I’ve done it the same as I’ve done it for the last 3 years, only this time I’ve had an email reminding me for the first time that the payment is due Nov 7.


I see the site says it takes 4 business days for bpay payments to clear, and it’s been 5. This radically changes what the actual due date is, if it needs to be paid over a week early to clear and show as processed by the actual due date.


I live in the UK so just calling and asking isn’t an option, and obviously they have no interest in accommodating that.

Processing times can vary depending on the banks. To be safe it would be better to make payment a bit sooner next to avoid it being received late. Keep monitoring online to see if it's received.
