I want to make a payment plan -- saying pay every month on 30th.

My question is

a) BPAY can take 1-2 days -- does it matter if I make the BPAY on 30th? (or I should do it earlier?)

b) how about when 30th of one month is on weekend or public holiday? (Should I make the payment earlier or just on 30th)

I don't want to get any charge for late payment

Hi @baron33

Making a Bpay payment on the due date is ok if the payment is made within the cut of processing time frame of your bank. If a payment is made after this time the bank will not process the payment until the next business day.

Once payments are received by us the actual date you made the payment (unless it is after the processing cut of time) will show on our system even though it may take up to 72 hours to show.

With payment plans we do recommend making payments earlier than the due date to ensure the payment is successfully received by the due date to avoid the payment plan going into arrears or default.

When the payment due date falls on a weekend or public holiday the system will default the payment to the next business day.

Be mindful when using the 30th not all months have this date and if it falls on a weekend or public holiday you may find you have two payments in one month.

We do not charge late payment fees, General Interest Charges apply even if you’re in a payment plan until the debt is paid in full.
