Not everyone has a passport - mine was expired, so drivers licence and medicare card worked for me.

Hi @Bobd2558,

When setting up your MyGovID you need an Australian passport for a strong ID. Depending on what you're trying to do you may not need a strong ID. This means you may be able to only verify yourself using other documents instead as @Bruce4Tax mentioned. I'd recommend having a read through the MyGovID page on required strengths for different services. If the one you're looking to use doesn't require a strong ID then you can simply use a standard strength. Unfortunately, if you need a strong ID you won't be able to obtain one without an Australian passport. If this is the case, let us know what you're looking to use myGovID for and we'll see if there's an alternative way!

Thank you, Bruce, I was able to submit my Driver's Licence, Medicare Card and UK passport details successfully, but it is still wanting an Australian passport Number to complete the process???

Many Thanks

Bob
