If I'm Director of a company that share trades, but I've done share trading through my individual account. Can I report these through the company?

Hi wiz,

If the share account that you've traded through is setup in your personal name, then the share trades will be treated as if they have occurred in your name, not the company's.

The brokerage/platform will have an obligation to report the trades to the ATO and they will report the trades using the details of the account, which are yours rather than the company's.

Thanks
