I am 59 turning 60 next year with a preservation age of 58. I stopped full-time work about 2yrs ago and have been doing some casual work on an adhoc basis (occassionally over 10 hrs/wk). If I wish to access my super do I need to resign from this casual position (and not work for them again) ? or can I just inform them I cannot work more than 10hrs a week going forward ? (Note this work is adhoc and there is no guarantee of any future work)
If I wish to access my super do I need to resign from this casual position (and not work for them again) ?
If you do this after age 60, then that would be a condition of release for your super balance.
or can I just inform them I cannot work more than 10hrs a week going forward ?
That would be a retirement condition of release - as long as you did not plan to work anywhere else, making your total weekly work hours up to 10 or more.

Thanks Bruce, so after I turn 60 I have to resign and not do anymore work for them, But I could do upto 10hrs for someone else ?
if I meet the condition of release before I'm 60 and access my super do I have to meet the over 60 condition of release and resign or can I continue the 10hrs with them and contuinue accessing my super.
