After submitting the Tax File Number Declaration form to the employer, I found that the home address was incorrectly input. But I have checked that the address in my ATO is correct, do I still need to contact my employer to update the address？

It might be a good idea to let them know of the mistake (and provide another TFN declaration form) just to avoid any confusion. If your address is listed correctly with us it shouldn't be too much of an issue, though. :)
