Hi, I recently posted my paper tax returns as a registered letter from Adelaide with the following address as listed on ATO:


Australian Taxation Office 

GPO Box 9845

Adelaide ____


However, I received an email to collect the letter I posted... What does this mean and how can I post out my paper tax returns?

The address seems to be correct. Unsure why you would need to collect them. Are you putting in the correct postcode for Adelaide?

Dear Chantelle,

Thanks for your reply. I just read the website carefully again and at the end, they mentioned that if I'm using my own envelope, then the address should be:

Australian Taxation Office

GPO Box 9845

SYDNEY NSW 2001, AUSTRALIA


instead of the one we discussed above.
