Yep, if your employer hasn't withheld enough they'll generally adjust your next pay to cover it. Your employer withholds tax based on each of your pay amounts to ensure enough has been withheld by the end of the year for you. If they don't withhold enough you may be left with a tax debt as a result. Due to this, if they don't withhold on a pay correctly they'll need to adjust it by doing this to avoid a debt for you.
