Hi,


I am still struggling to apply director id via online because still having error come up "An error has occurred 

An error has occurred and your transaction cannot be completed online. For more information, contact us."


Applying via phone always busy no answer at all.


I already extend till 31 Jan 2023 but I am worry about that they are going to fix this problem until due date.


Please let me know someone who know the solve the problem.


please do not say that refresh browser / remove the cookies etc ...

I've done everything .:((

I am sorry to hear that you have not been able to get through on our phone lines.


This error is currently under investigation. We are working on it as a priority however there is no expected date for a resolution.


Unfortunately, we are experiencing high call volumes. We ask that you persevere and someone will be able to assist you.

@dynamic I am having the same issue, have you been able to get your Director ID yet?


Danielle has there been any update on when this error may be resolved?It seems to have been ongoing for a few months now, and given it is pretty much impossible to get through on the phone (have tried multiple times over three month period now and never got through) this process seems a bit of a shambles and I would have thought perhaps the ATO may by now have recruited some more staff in their contact centre to assist and answer calls seeing as this is an ongoing problem

Here's a few tips if you haven't tried them already:

  • Check you have the latest version of the myGovID app installed
  • Refresh the web page.
  • Close the internet browser and try to access the service again (login).
  • Clear the temporary internet cache and cookies in your internet browser settings, close all open internet browser sessions and re-access the service.
  • Try another internet browser.
