hi, ive done a couple of ammendments where ive filled in question 24 on my tax return relating to payment in arrears from a previous employer, i filled in the amounts for each of the previous financial years it was for and submited it, no prob. But then when its processed, under section 24 on my filled form it says the ammount, but under the details it says "not provided" and also the payment in arrears section says not provided. I just noticed on the form i got from my previous employer that it says that the form with the payment ammounts need to be attached to the tax return to support the info filled in q24, is this correct? and if so, how do i attach the form? is there somewhere i can upload it?

thanks.

Hello @Roberto35656,

These days you don't need to attach anything to the tax return this information is provided by your employer to the ATO via your income statement that they finalize and send through to the ATO at the end of the financial year. As explained on the MYTAX instructions for Lump Sum E you should check your income statement section outside of MYTAX to make sure that your employer has sent the information in. If they haven't you will need to contact that employer to see why they haven't lodged it. If we require more information we will usually send a message to your ATO Online Services.
