We had an employee who provided their super details when they started employment. They only lasted a few weeks. Cannot process their super as their Member No is incorrect and they will not answer any emails, calls or texts. What do we do in this situation?

Hi proturfscapes,

Please refer to 'Stapled Super Fund' via here - https://www.ato.gov.au/Business/Super-for-employers/Stapled-super-funds/

Alternatively, if all have exhausted, pay it into company's default fund. By all means, pay SG prior and/or when due to avoid the complications of the SGC Statement to be completed for late SG contributions.

Cheers

Thank you for your response. I have looked into the staple fund, they started prior to 1 November and it also says that they need to sign the form too? I am not sure how to go about opening a fund without their approval if we cannot get in touch with this person at all?
