Hi I applied for compassionate release of super. I received a text message saying someone from the ATO was going to call me shortly and it will be from a private number and to answer the phone if a private number comes up. However, no one ended up calling me and there are no missed calls in my call log on my phone. Is there a reason why I would receive that message and then no one ends up calling?

Unfortunately, without seeing your account with us directly we won't be able to say why this has happened. The team may not have gotten to contacting you after they sent that, or they may not have needed to in the end. How long ago did you submit your application? If you're still within the service standard it may just be a case of waiting for the moment to see if they reach out or not as they may continue processing it instead. Hopefully you'll receive a response soon!
