I accidentally applied for the foreign passport holder category for my TFN. But then I realised since I am an international masters student with a course of more than 6 months I am considered an Australian resident for tax purposes. What can I do now to solve this issue?

Hi @Nawar,

If you met the requirements on the foreign passport holder application page, there shouldn't be any issues. You may find you're eligible to apply under both application methods depending on your circumstances. If so, you can use either. You won't receive a different type of TFN or have any restrictions due to using that method. Once you receive your TFN you can use it as needed.
